Google recently updated its Maps application for Android 1.6 and 2.0 devices and the new software has an optimized search results page for finding what you need quicker. You can also swipe across search result pages to move forward or else backward through results.A new Latitude widget shows you where your friends are on the homescreen and it can also show traffic conditions. Users with Android 2.1 devices can activate a Maps Live Wallpaper to sight a map at all times from their desktop.
Finally, Google added the ability to quickly switch among multiple Buzz and Latitude accounts. The software is available for gratis today inside the Android Marketplace.
